I found this post on Route 6x6 one time , of a home made , aluminum , 6x6 , that some one posted . I,ve searched and searched Route 6x6 , in the hopes of finding this post again , but I never could . Today when I arrived home from work , I logged online to read the new 6x6 postings , and then went to Utube , hoping to find some new amphib video,s . I typed in Argo 6x6 and Max 6x6 , and found out that no new video,s had been posted . I then typed in aluminum 6x6 , and bingo ! I,ve been searching for this unique , home made , aluminum 6x6 , off and on now ,for several months . Tell me what you think of it .

I thought that site was in our links section but I couldn't find it. I added it there if you ever need it again.

If I ever did anything like that I think I would make it so I could use the upper body still. That would be cool not haviing to worry about rocks and damage. But still have the looks of the my attex.

Welcome to the forum. How has your aluminum 6x6 project worked out since you,ve built it ,and what you would do different if you had to build another one out of aluminum again?

I know this is a really old topic but i still have the aluminum 6x6. Things happend and it got put away in storage and just recently pulled it out
and went thru it and got it all operating again. I have been using it and have just gotten my 11 year old grandaughter driving it out on the ice.

I also have a VW powered 6x6 i built back in the mid 70s, all steel body, aircooled VW engine and trans, reduced down 50 % thru chains to
the 1 3/8 stainless axles. It floats and swims, has a snow plow and has logged my property off two times since i built it.
I am planning a new one right now, working on the design for a hydraulic drive track machine. Don't need it, just like making stuff.

Just finished this 4x4 Case articulating tractor, all hydraulic drive, hydraulic PTO to run winches log splitters etc. Has a built in home made
hydraulic capstan winch as well. Body on the back is a dump and removes with one pin and a small skidder type butt plate goes on and a
8000 lb hydraulic winch goes on for pulling logs. Here is a link to some pics of the Case. http://www.casecoltingersoll.com/for...hp?f=7&t=10074

My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.

Nice mod there, looks like Pug based.
