  • Progress on the SEARS Sporster

Well this weekend after a several long days I got the bottom tub painted metallic silver with plenty of clear coat along with all the axles and the frame. Im going to flip the tub over and spray in bedliner all on the inside to give it a clean finished look. Now I can finally start some re-assembley and hopefully get it going before too long. I will keep you all updated as I progress.

      It's looking great.

I'd love to see this and some of Amphiman's unique machines at an event sometime.

          Good work

From what I can see from the photos that looks like a smooth finish on the body.
looks like a new gel coat .
Why do we waste tax money on bridges and roads when we can all just drive AATVs

                  Thanks Guys

Thanks everyone!! I finally got me a project that can keep me busy and out of the house. Now I just need to get my wife to understand that all the time I spend on the 6x6 will pay out in the end (fun for the family and owning a piece of the past that has been brought back to life) and may be she will not refer to it as that dang old ugly 6x6.

Another Sears Sportster Update, the hard part is over!!!!

Well gentlemen this is where I have got so far. I was a little delayed b/c I was in Canada on business for a week. This weekend I will install all the chains and start to work on the motor mount, I started the other day on the chains but I quickly found out that I needed offset links (1/2 links) for all my 40 chain. As you can see I sprayed bedliner all on the inside, this should give me some good protection on the inside. Let me know what you all think about it.

Absolutely amazing! That certainly is a top notch restoration job, and I highly doubt that there is another Sears Sportster out there that looks this good. Great work!!!

pn4u, you do really nice work. That is going to be one fine vintage machine.

She's a beauty- keep us posted.
