  • GOTHA, HUSTLER, AMF sur-Trek Tech help

Looking for folks who have history with the 1969-1970 gotcha, Hustler series from action Age. I have a 1970 Gotcha purchased restored and am looking to improve steering so brake adjustment advice. TURNS GREAT left, BUT SUPER WEAK right. thinking possible weak hydraulics so looking for advice. anyone have any idea where to find parts. For fun I am increasing the engine from 9HP to a 14-16 Single HP Robin or a Vanguard. Also looking for parts for the project I am going to start. AMF Sur-Trek. So, my first post. Hope to meet some great friends here........

Welcome to the site. You will find good people here on this site. This is a great place to find information on the vintage machines. I have a Sur-trek also. You have me thinking I should get it down off the shelf and work on it.

      Sur-Trek

Welcome to the site!!! I was working on my Sur-Trek the last few days. Here's a few pixs. Had to replace the front bearings, new axle made for the front and new chain. Had to Fab a copy of the original cast Iron motor mount. Original was broken. Replaced the original motor with a 2si 20 HP 2 stroke with CDI ignition.
