No that's a "there was a hitch here, but then I used it hole." It seems to be common on the surtreks for that hole to end up there. I've seen several for sale with it there and JoeM says his had one there as well. Although in Shawn's case, the previous owner actually saved the original piece to graft back in. He may want to ad some reinforcement and maybe connect it to the frame he plans on adding.

ya that old dodge can sure tow. And ya guess is right thats a nathan airchime K3LA. i pulled 15.5 mpg at 70mph on the way home. it will be heading to into the garage next week then the surgey will begine i will be posting pics.
