  • kadoo/attex question

I've got a local guy that has a kadoo and an attex for sale for cheap. What is a reasonable price for a total rebuild type of project? I don't see these vehicles around her so there is no "local going price" for them here. Neither run, motors r not supposed to be locked up, and they need lots of work from the pictures. I'm not "really" that interested in another project but the idea of maybe getting some parts is fun. Maybe a tranny, help a guy out here if they need a body or parts for a project, (I'd hate for them to go to waste) etc.. What type of tranny do these have in them? Which models are these?

Early Kadoo I and Attex st/295.

My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
    Joe Camel never does that.

Advice is free, it's the application that costs.

Do either of these have a standard tranny that they use, or did they use various types? Any idea of their value?

The Attex should have the Borg/Warner T20, the Kadoo has its own system. The Attex is probably worth a hundred or two if the transmission is intact, but the Kadoo....? Nice flame job, though.
Stuck in the seventies- not in the swamp.

        (6) Attex, a Hustler, a Super Swamp Fox, (2) Tricarts, (3) Tri-sports, a Sno-co trike, 3 Dunecycles, and a Starcraft! ...so far

Yea, I thought the flames were interesting also. Do you suspect that the flame job is an add on, or factory? I'd think from what I've read its an add on...

Down here in sunny north Florida we have had heat index's in excess of 110 for several days and it aint over...better than freezing though

Anyone with an opinion after looking at the pics if these are "worth" saving? Anyone need these parts? if so I don't mind picking these up and helping out a member if needed.

If these machines were up in the Northeast, there'd be a lot of people chasing after them. I think the distance kills a lot of ambition when you're dealing with common or less desirable machines. The Kadoo is really cool and fiberglass has this wonderful quality of being resurrected with bit of work. The ABS body on the 295 doesn't look trashed in the one picture, and it might be a great base for a racer or trail machine. It all boils down to who's looking for projects and what the asking price is.

What is he asking for each machine?

$200 for both. I'm really only interested it them if there is a t-20 so I've got a spare core to rebuild and have on hand. The attex looks cool. If I brought these home my kids would be extatic. Only problem is I'd like to retire some day but if I keep spending money on my expensive toys I'll be working forever

Buy them! $200 for either machine is a steal. The wild wolf should have a t20 and kadoos are just plain cool looking. If it were up by me, they would be in my driveway by morning.
