  • Took in a stray cat!

Well Im new here so I figured I would start a thread and let everyone know a little more about me. Ive been collecting AC garden tractors and field tractors for a long time now, but just recently rescued a TT10 that was destined for the scrap yard. The motor was loose, and after cleaning the points and coils I did get it to fire, but the carb is beyond rebuilding. The throttle shaft is siezed and after soaking overnight I broke the shaft off trying to get it to move. I ordered a clone carb for a stihl 090 from fleabay, looks like the right dimensions anyway.
All the chains are rusted VERY bad, and I cut the axle chains off and soaked the rest. The body is in decent shape other than the bad paint job. there are a few small cracks that need patching but overall it is very solid.
    Things I need help with
    1. Aluminum trim around the body seam. Where can I get it or what to make it from??
    2. Missing Serial number. How do I identify year? just for curiosity

Thanks in advance and I will post updates to this thread as i do more work

Thanks! I'll take a look. Still have to power wash the inside.... I think this thing spent the last 20 years parked under a maple tree!

I dont make it a habit, but for this one I had to make an exception. Matter of fact, this is the only cat on the place!

You'd be better off taking in a Hustler.

I think is great for you, wasn't there a advertisement from lawn and garden that showed the lawn tractors with the Terra Tiger?

My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
                Joe Camel never does that.

Yes!! This is the picture you are thinking of. Maybe someone else knows who built the terra tiger? I know simplicity built most of the rest of the lineup.

I know there are much better 6x6s out there, but I am not a 6x6 collector, Im an Allis collector. Fact is, if it wasn't an Allis, I would have never even brought it home. I don't have much use for a 6x6 at all. Not a lot of places to ride in western Iowa

Yellow ones were made in 1968, green and gray started in 69. Feldmann was original manufacturer and AC brought them out. Feldman continued manufacturing &assembling them for AC until new plant was done in 69 in Lexington, S.C. PM us for more info!
