Tough as nails...... built to military standards. They are heavy and are not really a play toy..... think of them as a work machine. I have a restored 1969 Kid with Adair tracks and it goes everywhere I want it to go. I use mine for traversing marsh that I hunt in..... couldn't be happier!!! I would say $6000 for a restored unit is a great buy....... look at the price of a muddox or any other 30 hp amphibian. If you buy it you will love it!

Thanks for the info. Do they require bearing cages for the tracks?

No, They came from the factory with steel tracks. Mike at Adair Argo designed the Adair tracks for my kid. They fit the stock tires and have plenty of clearance.
