  • PAC- TRAC

Looking at buying a little track rig called a PAC-TRAC AC-3100 . It has a 16 hp Fugii air cooled engine and hydrostatic drive. Does anyone know anything about these rigs?

I saw one many years back in the mountains in Colorado. From what I recall it was a small motorized rig with tracks, that was steered from the rear by a person that walked behind it and operated a tiller style steering mechanism.

I saw it at a ski slope and when I questioned the operator about it he said it was fine for light work but anything heavier than 400 pounds they would use a Thiokol tracked vehicle instead. The Pac-Trac was being used to carry salt and sand for sidewalks. It was fairly narrow and not too long, maybe about the size of a motorized wheelborrow.

That's the only one I've ever seen.

There isn't much on Google about these, I was trying to find a pic to see what was being discussed. Here is a link to a tractor forum discussion on these guys, looks like a couple of members there have this same model number as yours. Perhaps make contact there too.

That's a different model than the one I was speaking about.

Yes Mark, it has a bed about 5x5, cab, and valves for a ram for a dump on the bed. suppose to be able to handle 2,000lbs.

Yes but Bigger. It has a split wind shield, much larger tracks (16") and the shape similar to a weasle. The seat is in the middle of the machine and your feet go down between the tracks. Three forward and two reverse on the transmission.
