  • Might be a Swamp Fox

I bought this older 6x6 last year. Not sure on info and hoping you guys can help. All I got is a sticker that says ASV (All Season Vehicles) Mascow, IA and SN# SF-2-507 also it says on the side is TR 160. I was told yesterday that it's a "swamp fox"???? Not sure on year either. So I hope someone can help or know who can! I need a new throttle cable for it and a gas cap!!!!! The throttle cable that was on it was set up with a choke cable and a pull knob for throttle. It looks of it broke at one time so they jimmy rigged it up. It still has the twist handle for throttle. When I did a rough measure for cable it was 68-72 inches. The gas cap I can't find nothing to fit and old one is busted. If you need any more info feel free to e-mail me at jjbodling@gmail.com or message me.
    Thank You, Jerrid

Hello and welcome to 6x6 world. Looks like ya got a Super Swamp Fox there. Nice. For throttle I use this stuff
BICYCLE GREEN BRAKE CABLE HOUSING BY FOOT LINED GREEN

    Along with this inner cable
Jagwire Slick Stainless Road Tandem 3500mm Bicycle Inner Brake Cable | eBay

And a Mountain bike brake lever of choice.

As far as the gas cap goes, looks like a standard "1/4 turn" type. Just need the diameter and look here.

You do indeed have a Super Swamp Fox, and it looks to be in fantastic shape. Years and serial numbers won't really help in your quest for parts because there isn't a real information bank or catalog to go to for replacements. Like Joe says, your cap looks to be a standard quarter turn, so the Kelch website is a good place to start if you want to replace it with a cap/gauge combo. The TR160 refers to the model number. I don't know about "TR", but I believe the 160 refers to the Tecumseh OH160 engine that some of the machines came with, mine included.

Ok I got throttle cable from a local atv shop and a gas cap online! I also rebuilt the carb last winter and just couldn't get it to run right & got tired of adjusting so I found a carb for my Kohler 17 Twin on isavetractors.com for cheap and when I put it on, it ran like a champ no adjusting our tuning! Thank You for the help everyone now getting it ready for hunting and see how it pulls a big buck!!!!!!
