  • Need advice. Old terra jet just bought

Hello everyone i just bought a old terra jet for 175$ its in really good shape except for the body and it needs a motor. Whoever owned it before fabbed it up for a automatic quad engine im assuming because there are 2 levers beside seat. One goes to transfer case and other to motor but has no hand lever for a clutch il post a pic if i can. My first post.
Just wondering what all you guys are running under the hood. Hp tourque. Brand. All that. Id like to put a new honda v-twin 20 hp. Expensive i know but figure would run forever. Im no mechanic this will be my first project but il have help with halffast mechanically inclined friends and brothers.
Im going to fab up front and rear racks and my brother is giving me his jeep roof rack. Winch bumper. So itl be heavy. The honda has 35 ft pnds tourque. Same or more than the original engines. And quiet.
Ive never actually drove one. The turning radius seems pretty crappy. Assuming good enough though. Would rather an argo but 175$ couldnt pass it up. Post anything you want really. Pics of cool rack ideas. Motor ideas. Advice. Whatever. Going to put a stereo in as well. Why not right.
Il post a pic of engine bay and maybe someone will have an idea where buddy was going with it. How do i upload a picture?

Hi Tod, welcome to the forum. For $175, that is a cheap start to a new project. If you haven't seen it already, check out this thread: http://www.6x6world.com/forums/other...terra-jet.html

For uploading photos, this thread will walk you through the process: http://www.6x6world.com/forums/chit-...-pictures.html

    Good luck with your project!

If you click on that thread that I linked to, it has a link to the gallery in the first bullet point. You can click on the word gallery there or at the very top of every page of this site right under the "R" in our logo.
