Oh I forgot to upload these really cool pics of the Late model PPT 600 that Medic7594 mentioned. Bob Cantin emailed these to me. He said they moved the engine to the rear due to heat issues from the engine being in front. I can testify to that being an issue.. however in winter I think it would be a definite plus.

Definitely some food for thought, I am thinking about repowering it with a higher HP late model engine, also making a custom hood out of steel or aluminum with controlled airflow for venting in summer and rider warmth in winter. I will be on the lookout this summer for a good deal on a transplant engine and even a busted up skid steer for possible Hydraulic conversion....

      Southpaw:
I'm glad Bob was helpful. He has sent me parts over the past 4 years. According to him, my PPT was built May 29, 1971. It was a very early model and full of bugs and quirks. It used ot have a single cylinder Sachs engine in it. When I rebuilt it I put in a Kohler 440-2AX.

I like the pics of the Model 620 you posted. I have not seen the rear engine design. My next toy is to find a PPT 620. The wider tracks will do me well in the winter.
