Newt the Bold

I just inherited a Newt the Bold that has been outside and am looking for manual or other information on the unit. I saw the brouchure that is posted and that provides good information but I'm looking for more info

I also got a Jiger as well in the deal and am looking for the same type of info.

You have a really rare and unusual machine there. Unfortunately, there's very little good information on them. If you can post some pictures of the machine, maybe someone will be able to help you out. Congratulations on the rare beast!

Hi Everyone,

The Newt the Bold and the Jiger found their way to my house!!! I have them both in the shop and will be working on them during the next few days. Here are some photos. I will post photos of the first ride once I get them going. I am always looking for odd and rare six wheelers. I plan on having a six wheeler history display in the next Mudd-Ox factory.

Matt, who manufactured that transmission in the Newt? Does it have reverse?

Hi Mark,
I am still looking for information on the transmission. The two control levers on the dash drive it like a Skid Steer Loader. If you push the left stick forward the wheels go forward, If you move the stick back the wheels go back. You can also counter rotate the Newt the Bold!!! The levers control a valve much like a Scrambler and run transmission fluild back to the transmidssion case through small lines. The transmission can go from forward straight into reverse much like a Trail Boss transmission but with both drives in the same case??? I think the Newt is a Scrambler, Trail Boss Mix with the size of a Swamp Fox!!! I really like it!!!

Those are soooo cool! I can't wait to see them rejuvenated. Is that the same Jiger that you had a couple years back? It looks like it's in really nice shape.

I have the Newt running!!! I need to do some work on the engine clutch but the Newt rides again!!!! Here are some photos for you to enjoy. I can hardly wait to clean it up, put a new rub rail on and paint the rims.
