scrambler questions new guy here

i just bought an older scrambler that needs some work. first is there are no chains on it how many feet would i need to redo the whole machine? the chain from the belts are there but thats it. also where do i find the year? and somebody put a 440 engine on it is this going to break stuff or will it be ok? the engine runs really good so id hate to change it. thanks for the help in advance and im shure ill have more questions down the road

i think yours is older than mine and mine is a 79
i dont think that is the stock engine
i have no idea about the chains
does your hydro steering work?

yea i was told its a 70-74 and it isnt the stock engine. my steering seems to work but i dont know for shure. its a project and i wanna get the chains on it and see if it works then restore it

mine is a 1964.... i think. it has #40 chain. It all depends on the tires you have. But I would make sure to have some half links with you.
