A group of us got together and tried to get the design/production rights of the hoot. However they made it so it stays in the US.

Rumor is that the rights to the hoot have been bought by some American military vehicle & components manufacturer.

It is unclear if it will be at all available to the public in the near future.

              Hoot is Back!

              Hoot is Back!

All of the spare parts etc had been bought by a buddy down in Gulf coast of Mississippi from the bank who took possession of everything when Knox Outdoor Products went belly-up. He has sold eveything to Growler Motorsports, Inc. of Robbins, NC. They now have a website up that reads the same as the original Hoot website. Best change I can see is that they upgraded the engine from the 15hp Kohler single to the Kohler 18hp twin. MSRP is $8995. I hope they can provide support to us previous owners. Good Luck to them!

              Here's the website: Hoot ATV

Also if anyone is interested I know where there are 2 of the originals. He's looking to sell at a good discount from the full price, just send me a msg.

              Lets go Hooten!

Contacted them via the website and Mr S Douglas Neary replied and explained that manufacturing will begin in about 3 months and new dealers available after that.. Very cool

I have seen pictures of Hoots that have turned over and landed upside down. Because the Hoot is so narrow it's very easy to flip over side ways and on top of you if you accidently hit a bump while side hilling and lean to the other side too quick.
