    Hi everyone
Been a little while sence my last post have been working on my scrambler trying to get it back togather and running. I actually have it running and have driven it around the yard and found a few issues I still have to fix but from what it was when I bought it [a basket case] its now moving
I still have to adjust the steering more it turns to the right great but not to well to the left just need to adjust the spring tennison on that side also I have to get the brakes working better I found that out the hard way tried to stop before I ran into my truck [Its only a small dent]
I want to Thank everyone for the help and info from this site with out it I would still be on the first part of this project.
Hay Does anyone know anything about the electric reverse that I think was available on some scramblers? I would like to add that to mine or come up with a reverse system so its easer to put on /off the trailer
    Any info would be GREAT
Hopefull I will have it finished soon and make some of the rides. Then I will be looking for the next 6x6 to rebuild This project was alot of fun bringing it back from the grave yard.

    Hey tlp,
Glad to from you. That first ride is always a blast!!!

The reverse option was an electric starter motor and a ring gear on the main shaft. There was 2 on ebay like a month ago but sure there long gone by now.

I'll attach a picture of a scrambler with the option installed for you to see what it looks like.

That extra gear is part of the reverse option. I believe you could get one off a flywheel???
My brother and I are also trying to find other options. Ive heard of gear boxs and such but the clutches only work at high speeds, when they get geared down they don't take the torque. The gear boxes usually gear them down. The other questionable option would be a starter generator like on a cub cadet running a pulley on the main shaft. then there is a possibility that you could generate some extra juice for lights. It's a lot easier to think these ideas up then go out and do them though

                          tlp scrambler

Hi biggus I got my scrambler to turn right a lot better. You need to take the steering slave cylinder off and tighten the spring some I did this about 5 or 6 times too each side until I got it to turn the way I wanted it too. I still am working on the brakes yet and have considered adding a disc brake and caliper controlled buy a independent brake peddle that way you wont lose the brake system used in the steering.Let me know if that helps you
