Hi everyone,
I am new to this sight and I hope you guys can help me out I'm stressed. I purchased the edge plans a while ago and I have built the frame, made the axles, bought and postioned bearings into place and the diff. I also bought $2000 worth of tyres and rims. My problem is that the plans say to use a motorbike engine, but the other day my dad was at work and purchsed a 18hp horizontally opposed kohler engine (out of a bobcat) at a really good price. My research has found that I can use a comet torque converter and thats where it stops. Can anyone help if it is possible to put some sort of gearbox (forward reverse and nuterual) in between the torque converter and the datsun 180b diff. If anyone has made this vehicle I would love to know any info. Cant wait to hear replys so I can sleep at night..........Cheers

This is a very helpful place if you own an amphib , or are restoring an older one. I,m very sure some one here will give you some advice about what you need to know , just be patient.
