wanting to build an aatv, or atv if it doesnt float
hey guys i'm new here, and not sure if i'm posting in the right place. I need some pointers or advice on where to start. I want to build an aatv or atv if it doesnt float. I need a machine that will keep up with the 4x4 atvs so around 40mph. I have been toying with the idea for a year or so. I have bought some plans to see the basics and looked at what some of u all are doing. The terrain is East TN places we ride are wind rock and royal blue. All types of off-road drives and rides there, so in some place'es the ruts are deep. I had seen where some one is using 32's and i'll prolly go with that or 33 12.50's. and i think it will be a springer of sorts. the only thing i can see the problem is steering the 40mph part would only be on the pavement or gravel roads to get to the trails. i have an idea but not sure if it would work, if the rear drive was a pos track and the front wheels steered like a car with a back up braking system like a skid steer, or would the center wheels need to turn slightly aswell. Btw the this thing needs a spell checker.
