If I'm looking at these correctly, there seems to be some differences it Scramblers. Some appear to have removeable rear engine access covers where others don't, and steering sticks instead of steering wheels. Is it year differences?

The differences in the body/rear hood/fuel tank are different years. The difference in stick/steering is model. The later beefed up drive clutch rotors that Jeff stated are actually the same just more friction material. The later model main shaft is 1"? straight across, instead of tapering down. Also later model has the little "U" channel on the bottom of the chain runners instead of the junk fragile plastic skid plates.
Not sure if you seen the manual yet but this should help you get started.

Almost a done project. I got wiring done, first coat of paint. Need to find electric reverse motor and should be good to go. Awesome driving something you can hold a can of your favorite beverage and still steer. If all goes well, I wont have it long though. Hoping to trade for something better. He would be stupid to not trade this nice looking and working machine for his machine that has been sitting and is full of leaves and such with a bad motor and 6 wait no 8 bald tires.
I wont say so dont ask.
But either way, I love the scrambler.
Picture of scrambler in next few days I hope or soon at least.

Dang it, lil to late, but not to late to start over? I am no expert at painting. I found some fiberglass repair paste stuff but I wasnt completely happy with it and only works on bigger gouges. What primer did you find? I have other fiberglass projects that if I ever get around to working on them also have the stress cracks.
Thanks

Update on my reverse. The motor I got mounted and worked great. But I now have electric forward and no reverse still. I have 2 option. Move the toothed rotor to the other side of machine and mount it that way. Or scrap it and look for another.
I will attach pictures of the motor and mount and the number off motor but it spins wrong way. So I hope nobody actually uses these numbers for replacement motor.
I just edited the picture so nobody should.

Larry, all that hard work is paying off. I'm excited to see this machine in person.....I never saw a Scrambler with the electric reverse option. Hopefully it'll be all up and working for Ashtabula. We've got a lot of 6x6ing to chat about. Keep up the good work!"Looks like you have a problem with your 4 wheeler........you're missin' two wheels there"
