Terra Tiger jack shaft differences

Winter has arrived in Wisconsin so most of my major terra tiger projects are on hold through at least spring. I have brought all of the "guts" inside and am keeping my electrolysis tank running day and night derusting parts. I pretty much have all the odds and ends ready for paint. Next up is tearing down the jackshafts.

I noticed some differences in them. Can anyone tell me what the pros and cons of the two kinds and if there is any preference for one version over the other?

one on right is updated one used serial #3345 AND UP its TORQUE Sensitive. and gives increased power, hill climbing and drive belt life.

It apprears that only the spider (#1603588)and plate ramp (#1603589)are different. Since the one on the right is preferable, is it possible to convert the older model to the torque sensitive model by just swapping out the spider and plate ramp?

You'll need complete unit to upgrade it. We have a used one in a tt18 we got for parts. Need to get it in shop and striped yet. I will check it and get back to you.
