I have a Scrambler 1500 with a 16 hp Tecumseh. I need a primary drive belt. Looks allot like a snowmobile belt - It measures 1 3/16 wide and about 40 inches outside circumfance. I talked to route 6x6 and they told me they cannot find this size belt. They told me the shorest is 42" or so. That will be too large. I have a 2" deflection with the 40 inch belt. Any suggestions where to get a belt, numbers etc? Or am I going to get a larger belt and move the engine back - make new mounting plate etc.?

I have a couple oem wider styled ones. I will measure and make sure there same as yours and see if I can get some numbers/brands. Might help.If I get a chance, Ill measure tomorrow and update.

Where do you get a drive belt for a scrambler 1500 - It measures 1 3/16 wide and about 39 7/8 outside dimension legnth- - This gives about 2 inches of deflection. Here is a PDF of the Dayco catalog. On the very last page there is a dimentional chart. You should be able to find something there. Once you get the # MFG supply has good prices on belts.

thanks - the Dayco dimension listing gave me 2 choices - 3/4 inch longer or 1/2 inch shorter - so I assume I can go either way - I have 2inch deflection - I assume to go a little shorter - Wouls this keep the belt a litter lower in the variable drive meaning a little more low end vs longer belt riding higher giving more hi end
