Hi Guys Looks like LandTamer has bought the design from the folks who made the Hoot. The landtamer website has a new machine that's called the Standard LT 6x6. It sure looks like the hoot even though they are different machines inside but the outside sure looks like the hoot. Check it out on the landtamer website. Richard

Ok, that's the same one shown on Land Tamers official website too. I thought I was missing something. Just to clarify, I believe that is an original design by LandTamer and not the Hoot. Also I believe the design has been around longer than the Hoot too.

Hi.
There are actually two class sizes at LT.
However their web site a little confusing.
I've tried both standard (sport & rec) and Utility version. Owned a Util version as well.
The easiest way to tell the difference is the tire size vs the top part of the wheel well
The standard model has 24's as tires and are close to the top of the wheel well, the UTIL version has 33 inch tires and not close to the top.
The Util version is has much higher ground clearance than the standard, and is HEAVY.
Also the front angle on the tub of the standard/sport LT is about 45 degrees. The Util version is about 35 degrees to compensate for height vs length.
Here is a video of the sport model.
MIKE: You are correct about the LT web site. They do not show the standard/sport model, and the specs on the a-float cargo capacity is off. Their web master simply cut and paste the specs between the 6x6 and 8x8's.
I am not certain which one i liked better.
The sport/standard model is more versitile. However for a family of 4 and cargo the Utility version is impressive. 900 lbs cargo capacity a-float Will impress you for work, hunters (three or more people) , e.t.c.
Admitedly the sport model LT does looks somewhat like a hoot. Although Knox did good by making an atv style steering for their hoot.
The hoot is slightly under powered and needs at least 25 inch tires (with more wheel well clearance, and inter-spacing).
80HP is a-lot of power, which most UTVs don't even get close to.
Enjoy.

Thanks for the thorough reply and the video. I love watching you climb up onto the concrete.
Richard, I can see the resemblance to the hoot a lot more now in cobalt's video as compared to their website. That never really stood out to me before but now I'm sure I will make that comparison every time now.
