  • New guy...Hello...

Hi All....I'm the new guy on the block, I found this site while searching for Cushman Trackster info. I see there are a few Trackster owners here, I have one I re-powered with a Briggs Vanguard, I've had it running about a year now, finally got it running and driving the way I like it. As always happens with these obsessive hobbies, a couple more of them have followed me home recently, I picked up another standard model, and just last week a nice,(other than a siezed engine) Marsh model. Both of them need engines, so I will be doing the 4 cycle conversions to them over the winter, the Marsh model being first. This looks like a great site, with lots of great info being shared. I'm looking for a Coot to restore next, they seem to be harder to find than the Tracksters, but I'll find one , just hope it isn't on the west coast...

Welcome COOP. If it's a Coot you want, a Coot you will get. If not from this site, a whole lot of support and links as to where. These people have ALL the bases covered and are happy to help.
It's all just nuts and bolts.

Try emailing this guy, Jody@Mckoinpower.com he had a fully restored swamp model Trackster a while back, for $4800. I thought about selling BOTH my Hustlers to get it, it's in Monroe, La. That is if he still has it, which is doubtful, but he restores them and sells them often as he can find them. Quite knowledgeable and a great guy to talk with.

Hi Bren...Yea, warped minds think alike...I've been keeping an eye out for 6x's, I knew you were looking for an Attex, I've found a couple, but not Attex's, which I knew is what you wanted. Still haven't found a Coot yet...

Not sure what your distance/price limitations are for the coot but this is what I found.

                    Military prototype C.O.O.T./ atv,jeep

                    1970 All Wheel Drive COOT

                    Coot Amphibious ATV

                    COOT ATV 4WD

Im sure you found it already but there is CootWorld

                    They have a classified section.

Hi Scott...I thought we were ok it's just everyone else was warped. A Coot will be a cool project. The only ones I've ever saw were in pics, never in person. I like the design though. I'd all but give up on finding an Attex that I could afford till I ran across this one locally. I'm gonna go check it out better this week after deer season ends, if I get out again. It looks complete from what a quick look shown but I guess it has the clutch side shaft broken. Kinda makes me wonder why it broke. The guy that has it told me what it has for an engine, which isn't the g50? that a SuperChief should have. Well...pretty sure it's a SuperChief...
If we can't come to a deal on that or it's in need of more attention than I'm willing to give, I'll start poking around for other brands. My fingers are crossed though....
