    Need some help!!
My husband has come across a working BMB Bottmobile boon-docker. He is looking for ANY information at all someone might have.
We have found bits and pieces here and there on the web but would like to see what it would take to restore this to it's glory from days gone by.
If someone has owned one, or knows someone who did we would like to hear from you.
Also, any info about manufacturing or specifications would be great.
I will post some pictures when I get a chance.
Thanks for any help in advance..

Yep!... in fact, this is the ONLY documentation of any kind we've found. Even the patent numbers aren't coming up for this implement.
I'm hoping that somewhere, someone familiar with these will remember something and we'll find out more.
        Thanks.

What exactly is it? Is it something recreation, a workhorse of some kind, is it amphibious, just what is it?

I wonder if it was made around the same time as the 5 wheel John Deere Gators.. seems like it was made for farm industrial use... wouldn't think it works too well for play as it would see the 5th wheel would get hooked and hung up easily on downed tree branches.. Also no bed for carrying or storing stuff and no PTO... Cool oddity but seems prtty obvious why they were short lived

                        BMB

BMB Company was located in Holton, Kansas. I spoke to them back in β€˜83-’84 after I came into possession of mine. They could tell me very little about these as they hadn't been made in a while. They did tell me they sold the Patents/Rights to Max or MAXX which which was located in Buffalo, NY at the time. They use those patents to help developed their 6 wheelers.

                        From RHINO | About Rhino

β€œIn 1986 Alamo Goup Inc. purchased BMB, Inc. in Holton, KS to provide much needed manufacturing capacity for the Rhino product line. Also in 1986, Alamo Group Inc. purchased Temple Manufacturing Company to provide a line of post hole diggers to the Rhino product line. The Athens Tillage line was sold in 1987.”

So the company is no longer along with any other information probably....

I have owned mine for about 27 years and this is the first one I have come across from doing random searches on the internet, Ebay and Craigslist.

Yes it floats, even weighing in over half a ton....

With the weight of these you can run over trees. The front end will come up and the weight of the boondocker would push it over. Just had to watch you didn't get the tree between the body and wheel as it would pop the valve stem...

These thing have plenty of power to move the weight. Two different times I have broke one of the 1 inch axles.

Mines been sitting a good 20 years and never could bring myself to get rid of it, thinking of getting it going again some time.... After seeing this makes me want to do it now..lol
