  • Got a COOT....

I've been looking for one of these for awhile. Everything I found around here, ( Upstate NY), was rusted out and in need of lots of repair. I found this one on Evil Pay, looked pretty good, so I took a chance and bought it. It has no engine, but it is rust free, and a 4 wheel steer. Only other problem was it was 2000 miles away. I used U-Ship, found a ride for it, it got here this morning at 6 AM. I haven't had a chance to look it over to close yet, but it looks pretty solid. I put it up on my trailer so I can move it in and out of the shop until I find an engine, and the torque converter for the engine, with those 2 items I should be able to get it driving. I know where 2 COOTs are locally that will be good parts machines, so I'm going to pick those up this week. Kinda anxious to get it running, see how it works.

That should be a fun project. Are you going to leave the name as it is? "Cooty"

Hows this for reviving an old thread? I got it done, or close to it. 2 years later, it has been totally disassembled, sandblasted, painted, rhino lined and re-powered with a Briggs Vanguard 20 hp. New tires and we should be done. I did do a build thread on it here: COOTWORLD • View topic - COOT Build Thread This thing is a tank, but I still like my Cushman Tracksters better.

Nice work. Now you can play around with it when you're not cruising in your Tracksters.

Here is a short vid of the COOT going thru a ditch. Sorry about the 45 seconds of video before the COOT shows up, I had to start the camera, go get on the COOT and drive to the ditch.

Thanks...All COOTs articulate, that is what mekes a COOT so good at going places you can't believe they'll go. They were the first rock crawler. I'm not sure what a pwc seat is....
