  • scrambler clutch brakes setup

You guys that have a scrambler setup what holds pressure on the two diff plates so thay dont slip,I have a sidewinder my setup is not hydrolic mine is all mechanical but my setup is the same it has two plates with brake pad material in between when turning it releases the plates then goes up against an outer plate with brake pad material to lock up that side.Thanks...

There is a spring that a rod goes in. The rod is the one that is connected to the plate and the other end is at the slave cylinder. The spring is inside the tube. The rod is threaded so you can adjust the tension. Spring pushes the plates together. The slave cylinder pushes the plates apart. Hope that makes sense.

Thanks Larry that does make sense to me it sounds the same as mine I am having trouble getting mine to lock up and not slip I have even machined the rotors clean so no rust and added new pad material still no luck...
