  • Need Info on 1970 Raidtrac 718 snow cat

Hey guys I am looking at a 1970 Raidtrac 718 snow cat with an updated 24 hp honda vtwin in it. It has 2 forward and 1 reverse gear and has a dry weight of 1185 lbs. I have a spec sheet on it but it doesnt really tell me much. I can get this relitively cheap i think (under 2k) and is claimed to have new carb with tracks that are in good shape. I have looked at the wed site Raidtrac but it doesnt help me as far as this model. Is it amphibious? How much is it worth? I assume its a skid steer, but what did they use for a transmision? Anyone know anything about these? It looks really neat and would let me keepf my argo for summer use only. I have been wanting tracks but if i can get another machine for the same money then i would do it.

If you go to this web site you may be abli to get some information on the raidtrac. markfyhn.com This is a business in Calgary Alberta Canada. They claim to be able to supply parts for Raidtrac, Passepartout, Terrajet and some others as well.

I have a PasseParTout, Depending on the model it looks like some parts may fit both such as tracks, do you have any pics? what info are you needing? Bob Cantin may have some info on them, He used to own the PPT company and still has lots of parts for them...
Tell us more about them, what engine, transmission etc, relibality is more the individual parts as most of these were built with off the shelf parts that can be replaced or upgraded such as engines, bearings, chains etc... My PPT does have a proprietary transmission and drive system though.
