so i picked up 2 amphicats, 1 is a total rite off, the other I think I can work with. My question is, they seem to have 2 different steering clutches, one is like a strap,or band type ,the other is actual discs, which one is better? my other question is about the sachs engine,I cant seem to find any info on this engine, anybody know anything about them? I know its a 2 stroke, but what cc? 200? any help would be great! thanks

I am new to this and I found a ski tow scrambler and it is a 1970. It has been under roof and has next to no rust. I had the same concern with the clutches as it seems to have the same steering system as you mention. The guy wants 300 for it and my only reservation is whether or not I can find these steering clutches if I need them. I would be interested to hear anything that you find out.

Neither trans setup is the ideal one. Im not sure which one is better though between those too. I think the sachs is a 277cc? Not sure if they used other sizes? Here is a brochure section on them. Cool stuff there.
supergolfer, could your 6x6 by a stalker? ski tow made them. I have a brochure on them if you want. There should be one soon on the site too as I sent a copy to Mike.
