  • Multimobile Rebuild

Just picked up a Multimobile, well at least that is what I think it is based on pictures. I'll try to post some soon. The drivetrain is pretty cut up and the JLO is missing. One seat frame was cut out to allow for the Hirth 292 to fit standing up. The body needs a lot of work and someone glassed over the headlight hole. The other night I pulled all the drivetrain and axles, some axles are badly damaged and rusty and cannot be saved. Tonight I plan on bringing the body inside to start the body work. It must have 30lbs of bondo on it, looks like no prep was done where some glass repairs were made as you can just peel them right off.

If any other owners are out there, I'd love a picture of the decals, just in case if I ever get to where I need them I could have a couple made. Thanks a lot.

Glad to hear you're restoring an ultra rare piece of AATV history! Here are some threads on some other members with Multimobiles:

Got the drivetrain all out and the body is inside to start work. Probably should have left it outside, the bondo smells pretty bad when I soften it up with the heatgun. Should be a good winter project. Wish I had time to get the garage in before the ground froze.
