Hi, everyone just wanted to ask if anyone still would have interest in the PUG? I have been thinking of buying the manufacturing rights and start building new machines again.
I really need imput on this as this idea will require consumers/customers buying machines to make it a profitable venture. So, is it likely that any of you may be future customers?
I would also like any ideas you would have for the PUG, you name it, let me know.
Now I just want to verify that "WE HAVE NOT STARTED TO BUILD THE PUG YET!"
This only a fealer to see if we can do this and keep the a facilty running. Please send me a email if you would like and I will post here also and let you know what our research tells us what the future may be.

As an owner of a 1968 PUG and PUG LUG trailer, I wouold say that the PUG is a fine vehicle even by todays standards. My friend commented at lunch today about how his recent trip to the snowmobile dealer went over break. At $11,700, the sled he was interested in seemd like a ridiculous purchase when compared with the $8,000 utility vehicles from the same manufacturers. Why spend more for something you can use far less. I have heard many large and hobby farm owners comment on how the PUG is ideally suited for farm use. I have no experience with late model PUG's , but I would be interested to know if the model you would build is going to have suspension. The PUG needs to be speed limited or suspended as the bumps would be too much without either one. Is the late model PUG built with posi traction or locked axles? If I had some idea of what exactly you are planning to build, I would be able to comment better on my interest. A front winch with plow capability would be an absolute must. My pug can transport eight people (six bigger men) over practically any terrain. Can any other ATV of it's size do that? My PUG can carry 1500 lbs. Can any other ATV do that? As with most ventures of this kind, your issue will be- at what cost? Good luck and please let us know more details on the units. Bill

Late model PUG's have a suspension under the hood/seat area. would consider suspension seats as a option.
A winch is a great idea and I have some ideas for that also.
Hydralics are what late model PUG's have and I would say that we would keep that.(snowplow)
Late model PUG's have a 2200lbs load, which is enough I believe for its size.
_COST ? Well as of right now it will depend on materials,labor,and supply vs. demand.
I'm guessing $14,000-$15,000 but I hope less.

The pug I own is a late 70's early 80's. It has the hyd dump bed , 2 foward & 1reverse gear , centrifugle clutchs (one on engine , one on front axel) and a B&S engine. My opinion is to put a better engine on it (honda,kawaski,etc) and use a 2 stage hyd pump for better steering at low idle. Also disc brakes instead of drum. Mine is geared excellent for I use it for. Maybe have different gearing and other engine sizes for other applacations. As always cost is always a factor,but if it is a good machine that can take the beating, it will sell it self. I would buy one.(two if the wife would let me)

The later model PUG's had 20HP engines and 4-speed manual transmission. PUG also made a few (less than 5) with disc brakes. 2 stage hydraulics I thick is a great idea and something that could easily be added to your older machine.
