  • Repco Industries 6x6 ATV

I have put a couple of photos of the Repco Industries in the gallery. As mentioned it is early 80s, 3rd off the line but I don't know how many more were made. It has a newish 6 hp B&S and although pretty slow it does work. I'll get some shots of its "innards" soon and post them. Cheers Tim

Tim, I copied your post out of the introduction thread to here where we can talk about it. That is a cool 6x6 that you have. What kind of speed do you think you can see with that? I'm just wondering how low it is geared and how well that 6HP does at powering it? Also, is the body black or was it painted?

Here is a link to the pictures you posted in the gallery. Thanks for sharing:

It has very little power at take off but eventually rattles along at a speed I wouldn't want to have to run at for too long. Double the engine size and it would start to perform reasonably.
My Dad spotted it at fun park a few years ago when I was looking for a mobile winch platform to use in swamps and I assume the proprietor had replaced the engine with the 6hp B&S to stop the unsuspecting public from killing themselves or each other!
It's been on blocks for a while now as I've been using it's 22" tyres and rims in the dual setup I have on my max2 for some of the squishier places I go.
My trax are on the way so it will be moving again soon, hopefully before I'm reported to the society for the prevention of cruelty to old aatv's!
It seems to be bright orange fibreglass with a complete black gelcoat(?) that looks like it was put on when built.
