Cool man, I am glad you decided to stick with it. Those Parts are here for you when you are ready to come and get them. I may have a couple more highly used Items that a little spit and polish would work wonders on.

I look forward to following your progress on this one.
Every time I have to push 1... I buy 10 more bullets

One tip for you Rick....I learned the hard way, the springs that hold the cone clutches to the drive cones are too weak. That is one reason the cone clutches didn't last. The factory fix was to add shims to squeeze the springs tighter. If you go to a race car shop and get used valve springs with higher tension, they will probably give them to you. If I remember correctly, the rate was right at 200 lbs. (take them a stock one) The fiberglass sides are too weak also and will often flex with the extra force of the stiffer springs. You may need to reinforce this with angle iron or square tube. Space is limited so be careful as to placement.

This might help if you haven't found it already. http://www.6x6world.com/forums/other...on-thread.html

Mine still aren't done and I am going through a real messy divorce, but once finished, I hope to have at least one done this summer. Another early tip....make sure all the shear pins fit snugly. REAL snug!

Mine was missing the original main shaft, so I had to make one. I used locking collars on the shaft, but it was still a matter of finessing it in/out. Make sure the bearings on each end are free and can slide in. The cones are held in place by roll pins..drive those out. Make sure the brackets that hold the steering arms are unbolted from the body, and the brake assy too. The whole shaft should come out as an assembly.
                  Good luck

there is a locking collar on the other side of that bearing. You need to get an allen wrench to loosen the screws in it, then you have to get a chisel or something similar to turn the collar. I can't remember if it is clockwise or counterclockwise though. Once the collars are free, fine a socket that will fit over the one inch shaft and line it up with the inner race of the bearing and drive it in on the shaft. If you can drive it an inch on both sides, the entire assembly will come free. This is how they tell you to do it in the manuals - you can download them here on the site somewhere.

also, I think the 5,700 number makes it one of the newer models. I have torn apart several of these and have never seen a serial above 5800 - not sure what the last one was either....

Also, I don't mean to crap in your punch bowl, but you are missing an awful lot of parts...more then half. I have learned that it basically takes three of these to make one good one. You are going to have to stick a fortune into that machine and when it is done, you still have a machine inferior to most other (newer) models in every aspect of 6x6'ing. You might consider selling it and looking for a newer Max. They can be had in running condition for around $3,000. You could easily have that much into your Tiger befare all is said and done. If I had it to do over, I would have gone to a different machine....I was just an Allis Chalmers collector and that is how I got into this. Now I am "pot-committed" (to use a poker term).

well thanks simpleton7016 I was going to sell it because it needed everything. But a Guy here on the forums has almost all the parts I would need to put it back together. And he is giving me the parts for free! All I have to do is go pick it all up. If it wasn't for him helping me out like this I would have posted It on the site here to someone that could have fixed it up for free.. The Tiger was giving to me so I'm not going to lose much if it don't work out. so far I have about 25. bucks in gas going to pick it up. I like to airbrush and the tiger looked like a fun project to undertake.. By the way thanks for the Info. I know It will help I am going to hit it hard tomorrow and see if I can get it all out. By the way simpleton7016 sorry to hear your going tho.."A real messy divorce" Wish you luck with that!

Hey Rick, If you are going to the time and $$$ to put a custom paint job on it....just remember you will have to touch it up from time to time. The multi color flames I think would work because with the random pattern, touch ups wouldnt stick out.
