That's cool! They have a floating version somewhere, one that crossed the Bering straight.

That's cool! A local US Gov't research facility, Waterways Experiment Station, an Army Corps of Engineers facility, tested a vehicle with similar, uh, running gear back in the '60s for use in 'nam. I never saw it in action but used to see it parked next to the fence as I'd ride my bike past. It had that sort of corkscrew looking gear on it & I think the body was similar to an M29C Weasel.
