I got some plans on building an amphibious 6x6. It took me quite some time to design from the frame up, lots of research into materials used and a bunch of hours of intensive testing. It's reasonably cheap to build and great if your good with the tools - but it is critical that you follow the specs or you may end up swimming with the fishes (all dimensions are in inches). I'll give the main part of the design away for free, but if you would like the bells and whistles you can PM me and we can arrange a price.

Free design - Home Built 6x6 - Fun for all ages!!

Soon to be available - plans for an 8x8 build!

So,.. I did a little diggin. I found smyser's site and downloaded one of his page excerpts from the manual. Due to the low resolution and the small picture size I had to whip out my amazing pixel recreation CSI photoshop plugin and edited the picture (I instantly became an expect after watching the show!). After 2 hours of processing - guess whats looking back at me?? yeah, you guessed it! I can't believe my stolen design is on craigslist!

OK, not to open old wounds, but I just bought a set of the Defender plans. Very well done. Like Stonewall mentioned, it's based on Mechanic Illustrated's Marauder-but updated. Any of you who have considered building the Marauder (like me) knows that the plans haven't been available for over 30 years. The drawings that are floating around the net are not really enough to build from.

I'm neither defending nor attacking the guy for what transpired...merely commenting on what I purchased.
