  • my Scrambler project

Just picked up a Scrambler 6x6
I know very little about these things and their
history. I know Ive always wanted one, and this one
came up for sale here in Tucson so I picked it up.
Told my g/f it was going to be my 13m old little girls
first vehicle (haha) in about a yr.
I have a performance automotive Tuner shop and restoration shop
    Motorsport Warehouse
here in town Ive had for 20 yrs, so being in the automotive
scene is nothing new to me.
So, not sure where to start on this thing other then to see how it
    runs first.
I want to upgrade it, but dont want to ruin the value of the ATV
So probably wont do anything that cant be reversed easily.
The sites great to see whats available and what others have done, which
    is cool too.
Outside Tucson we have some lakes and in Yuma there are the dunes
which I hope to take it to in the Fall.

That should be a fun project. I'd say, from the looks of that picture, she is already enjoying it.

Ive just realized I know nothing about this thing (haha)
What do you do for fuel ? Is it premix like a dirtbike ?
Fill up and go or whats the normal procedure ?
I found what looks like a fuel filter mounted under the gas
tank, First, I wanted to drain what I could because it doesnt
        smell all that good.

I've never heard of a two-stroke Briggs before so straight gas should do you just fine! On the 0.0000001% chance that it's some crazy Briggs 2-stroker I've never heard of, if when you start it up it sounds like a chainsaw, turn it off quick and put mixed gas in there....
