Hi all, just picked up a catagator today. Needs some work, but will get it going I hope.
Does anyone know where to get points for a kohler k662. Also the right front axle is broke, it is splined, will get a pic of it. thanks, and thanks Mike for this sight, it has become quite a hobby for me and my family.

I have two Catagators with the K662 engines. I talked with a local Kohler dealer and he told me no parts were available for that engine. After taking with him; I didn't look any further for parts. I was looking for carb. parts. As for the axle, Whipper could make one for you I bet. Looks like you got a nice machine.

Ive had goop luck with solid state point replacement modules in chain saws ect. They run about $20 per kit. You need one for each set of points. Good luck.

thanks msafi65, I will check that out, this kohler has a magnenato so not sure if the electronic ign will work.
