    Hey guys. I have been working on an Amphicat for a while now an today I picked up another one in much better shape. So now I have two machines to make one nice one out of. One of them has the plunger type trans. I believe some call it a T10? The other is a kind if gear box. I have both if these machines in pieces now. I'm gonna get one together this weekend.(I hope) so which trans is better? I read posts on here that the plunger type is stronger but the gear box type has better reverse an turns better. Just wanna see what you guys think think. An when I get to a regular computer illl get pics up. My phone will not do it. An it's all I use.

    So I got the one together with th gear box trans in it today. That one actually drives better to me. Not that I have driven any 6x6 much besides my other Amphicat. I could steer in reverse which I couldn't do with the plunger type(could be me though) engine ran good an everything seemed fine. I've read dozens of of posts about each trans. Seems the T10 might be stinger but looks like user preference. Thanks for all the posts to read guys. Just takes some digging.
