  • Pictures of my Amphicat

Ok guys I finally got a few pics up. Some are not real good. But they are there. One of them I've been rebuilding. The other one I just got but it's in better shape an I've been driving it. I do have an owners manual that I don't believe is on this site. I have no way to load it. I could copy it an actualy send it to someone who can, if anyone wants it. Sorry if I got some of the pics in the wrong place. The pics an manual are of/for an Amphicat

I have to apologize, I mistakenly merged your thread with another one yesterday. Rock Doctor pointed out my mistake and I moved it back here. Sorry about that.

Here are a couple of pictures of your Amphicat I grabbed from the gallery. That is quite the paint job that someone put on it.

        Cool Mpolly!

Mike, we where wondering if it was an original banana buggy, lol. You are right. At one time that was a real fancy paint job. Lots of little detail stuff on it. Not no 5 minute camo job, lol.

That paint job is something else. The paint is so thick. I had to put that project on hold to cold to sand outside.

Member krahsb used oven cleaner to get the paint off his kadoo a few weaks before we all went to ashtabula this year. He said it worked very well, but his machine was fiberglass. You may want to try it, but do it somewhere verry discrete or test on a scrap piece of abs to ensure the plastic doesnt melt.
l like to buy stuff and no I don't do payments!

yeah i was wondering about that. im not sure what kind of chemicals i can use on it. the clear coat alone is hard to get through. my other problem is the 2 big holes. theres a pic of them on here too. its not flat right where the holes are it make a slight dome to make clearance for the drive sprocket. i have plenty of parts to make 2 decent machines. one of them i will proably just use for ice fishing. my other one is one of the first Amphicats . i bought it from the orignal owner so he said it had been in his barn for over 15 years.
