  • Cat-A-Gator Restoration Started

Started the Cat-A-Gator restoration this past week. Stripped the machine down to the bare tub, started cleaning all the grease off in prep for sandblasting. Engine is toast, heads were off when I got it and it's stuck. Will re-power with a Vanguard 23hp. I posted a picture in the transmission section hoping to get some help with ID. Will post pictures of the machine tomorrow.

Took apart one of the clutch pressure plates and sandblasted/primed. After the second one is done I will send them out to be re surfaced and re lined. Gator tub stripped down and ready for blasting. it's been sitting outside neglected for 25+ years, time to make her shine.

I love seeing an old machine being restored back to its former glory. Keep up the good work!
