  • Just bought a Coot

    Hi All,
Just wanted to check in and introduce myself. I bought a Coot project today, pretty complete less the motor. Hulls need minor work but I can handle that. A family friend had a Coot when I was an early teen and he let me use it all I wanted and I did. Loads of fun!
I have rebuilt and restored several Dodge Power Wagons and recently a Dodge M37. This will be a much simpler project.
I have checked around a little, but would appreciate sources for parts etc. I am also interested in figuring out when it was built. Is there a serial number stamped on it anywhere that could be traced to the year?
    Thanks in advance,
    Tim

Dodge Power Wagons are one of my favorite trucks! The M37's are pretty cool too. I like my Mopars! Anyway, there are quite a few Coot owners here that could help you out. I drove one once, but that's about it. You might want to also check out CootWorld Good luck with it.

I did find Cootworld, but the site appears to be defunct. Anyone know anything about that?
        Thanks,
        Tim

Congrats on the COOT project, I have one that is 90% rebuilt, just waiting for my new clutches that have been on backorder for 2 months. The original COOT site has been shut down, it has been started back up by a couple of the members of the old site, here is a link to it: COOTWORLD • Index page Post some pics, we'd love to see your COOT, and some details about it.
