I've seen people get a good T-20 out of an old junk machine (the T-20 was still good) for a few hundred bucks. I've seen used and rebuilt ones for sale here on the site from $500-$750, so they're not too pricey, considering you're going to be buying the best AATV transmission ever built."Looks like you have a problem with your 4 wheeler........you're missin' two wheels there"

What kind of machines had a T-20 in it?Originally posted by jpswift1 View PostI've seen people get a good T-20 out of an old junk machine (the T-20 was still good) for a few hundred bucks. The Terra Tiger is a decent machine. it was my 1st amphib. Light weight, yet strong fiberglassed bodies. The components are all stressed members meaning that the engine and tranny all add strength to the other components as well as the body. The weakness of this design is that if the fiberglass body fails, then everything is susceptible to failure. I think if someone was serious about an overhaul they would come up with a space frame made of high strength steel, then attach all the components like a conventional amphib with a t20. That would take some time and effort, and the machine is fairly small sized. Playing devil's advocate, I don't know if its viable to do all that since there are many used Max2's out there that come equipped with all the right stuff. Don't get me wrong, there are some finely restored Terra Tigers out there that I'd love to have. But its easy to sink several thousand dollars into these machines before you know it.

Too many to list. The problem with trying to buy an old machine just to get the trans is: often they need complete rebuilds. There's $350+ in parts to rebuild one depending on what is wrong with it. Watch this http://www.6x6world.com/forums/conte...kid-steer.html An old machine that has been sitting is likely to have the drums rusted up...if that happens they need to be turned and polished. Since you are close to me you should come over and check out my machines......maybe have a beer or two.Originally posted by Michaeljp86 View PostWhat kind of machines had a T-20 in it?
