Super Swamp Fox Belt

I measured my old belt and was looking for replacements online, found one and decided to see if someone with more experience in these things could tell me whether or not they think this would be sufficient, it's the same specs, just want to make sure it'll hold up.

Gates makes good belts. Just to be 100% sure, double check to see if your belt is 1 3/16" or 1 1/4" width.

double checked, definitly 1 1/4, gonna order it in the morning to make sure it's at my house when I get home from work next wednesday morning

so I ordered my belt last wednesday for the SSF and I got home from work today thinking it'd be in and sadly no..so I called the company I ordered it from to see when or if it was shipped and they said it was shipping today which means I probobly won't have it till fri or sat (can't remember if UPS delivers on sat if they don't I won't get it til monday or tues...then I go back to work on wednesday for another week....very heart broken...oh well guess I'll have to do anther things to the swamp fox to keep me busy til the belt comes in, next time I'm buying locally

UPS is REDICULOUSLY slow and high priced. They don't deliver on a Saturday either. Sorry to hear the news. Let us know when it gets in and how it works out for you.

Will do, in the mean time I'll be changing the choke cable, rewiring the headlights and changing one of them, cleaning the carb and possibly rebuilding it, fixing an oil leak, sand and paint the rims and roll cage, etc...lots to do!

FINALLY! Got my belt in today for the swamp fox...then quickly found a mud hole!

Put it on and proceded to play in the mud!



This was my playground for about 30 minutes...

Until...

The throttle cable went to crap and wouldn't fully retract causing the engine to stay at a high idle. Oh well it was a blast! My four year old loved doing donuts in the mud. Off to town tomorrow to get another throttle cable...then I'm gonna play in the bayou!



Also started messing around with some paint, will probobly finish it up next week when I get home from work.

Glad to see your 'Fox up and running and playing in its natural habitat The olive drab looks pretty good. Maybe do the body trim in black like it originally came, and then paint the rims black and you're set.

I did have the trim painted black just to try it out but I didn't care for the way it looked so I painted over it with the olive drab, I'm leaning towards olive drab on the rims too, never really cared for black rims, probobly the only things that will be black is the winch, front bumper, cage, fuel cap, and the rear hitch after my boss fabs me up another one.

And once I'm done painting I found an awesome sticker for any 4wheelers brave enough to try following me...
