Fun on the bayou...or should I say IN the bayou...with the Super Swamp Fox!

Had to rescue my garbage can.

Sadly I couldn't muster the traction to crawl out, the mud in the bayou is VERY VERY SOFT!, Luckily my pickup was on standby for extraction.

Oh and the belt got wet which didn't help........

What tires ya got on there, if you swap directions with them might swim faster. Then you could back to the other side of the canal, and charge the bank. More speed when you hit the mud might help ya get er out, no trucks involved... maybe... that bayou mud ain't got nothin under it for sure. What do they make that stuff out of anyway?

Got goodyear terra tires on the front and middle, swampwitch tires on the rear (previous owner put them on). I want Four more of the swamp witches, I've found the same tread called Mud Max on ebay for $80 a tire 26x12x12. More speed may have helped but I rather better performance in the mud. I did notice it seemed to pull better in reverse through the water though. So swapping them around would help a bit.

yep, however the winch is old and very loud, it'll due for now but I will be upgrading to a bigger one within the next year.

Thanks for the link spookum , I've been eyeballing the 4500, but it might be overkill and that 3000 has an awesome price on it, maybe I'll get one sooner rather than later.

After my last venture into the bayou I decided to turn my tires around to see how much better it would work, plus I was determined to make it out under my own power instead of with the winch, and I have succeeded, still have one more spot where I found water being thrown in by the back left tire though, causing the belt to get wet AGAIN..which only seems to be a prob when I'm trying to climb out, I will be fixing this soon and adding a bilge. My favorite part was some kids on muddy 4wheelers stopping to watch as I drove out, my wife said they had this look on their face like "what the hell is that?!" lol, just thought I'd share.

I would try the goodyears on the 4 corners and the swamp witches in the center.Try hitting the bank at more of an angle.I think it would swim better,The 4 corner tires do most of the swimming.Just a suggestion.Good video.
