This mud is getting the best of me.

Well i was playing in the mud again today and had to winch out twice.
It seems the more i drive thru it the worse it gets.
Now the ruts are deep and i keep getting high centered.
Thinking of laying down brush on top of the mud as i figured out i can stay on top of the brush.

Any suggestions as to how to deal with this deep black mud?

A set of tracks might do it but the brush would be the cheapest.Good idea.Don't feel bad,I get stuck on a regular bases.It could be my aggressive driving habits.

If you are driving in that kind of mud all the time you would not believe what a difference tracks would make.

I would beleive that tim's Adair tracks are the pinicale of tracks for mud... and generaly the best all around. The only place a rubber track may beat it is on hard hard rocks... there a a BUNCH of track types and styles. But if you start watching you tube videos, that will become apparent. good luck!

This some really nasty pudding mud.

This is a video I shot of Noel Woods driving my 2011 Frontier. He was comparing my admiral tranmission to the older style tranmission that came in his 2008 Argo Frontier. He told me that my Argo was like driving with power steering compared to his Argo. This second video is kinda shaky. I was trying to walk in this deep pudding mud and every time that I tried to lift my foot up, it had suction on it and this caused my arm to shake. I should have parked Noel's Argo in one spot in the middle of this pudding mud , but I was afraid that with out a better zoom lens the Flip camera would'ld pull in enough detail.

This mud hole had ' some ' water in it but not much! This mud was VERY HARD to drive through even with Adair tracks! By the next day so much water had evaporated out of the mud that it was almost like thick conrete mortar. Knowing how hard this mud was to drive through , even with Adair tracks , I invited several 4-wheeler riders and the two side by side drivers that were with them to come and watch me drive through this bad mud hole. I got there a few minutes before they did and started driving through the middle of this mud and it took me about 20 minutes to reach the length of my Jeep Cherokee! I then decided to drive out on one side ,because the suction of this thick mud was too much of a strain on my belt

My friends and I that run the Adair tracks HAVE NOT BEEN STUCK yet in any atv park that we've been to. I don't count being high center.

I guess tracks are the answer...they still sink into it but at least keep you moving.
The mud im in leaves a profile of the underside of the tub after i winch out.

Not sure if tracks would fit on your Bazoo,and if they did,Im not sure you have strong enough axles and chains.Just try a different path and see if you can refill those ruts the same way .

What is the required clearance for tracks? I have lots of space on the inside of the tires to the tub.

Not sure on clearance, but if you got 21s you may need 18's for tracks.

I was told this: If you can lay a 2x4 board side ways ( on end ) on top of all of your tires on one side of the tub, then you will have sufficient clearance to run the Adair tracks. You might need to run some spaces to move your tires away from the inner tub though?

Thats almost 4"...seems like a lot and i only have an inch as it is.

Tim can make up a track kit with 18" and 20" inch tires for amphibs with clearance issues. These track kits fit on a Max II with out having to modify the lower tub.Give Tim a call at 1-800-934-0737

Most of the trails i ride are not a problem and i like to go fast.
This trail is new and i decided to lay down brush in the worst area so i can get thru and it works
The creek bed is solid but the edges are soft.
