amphicat question

i just bought a amphicat running gear and tires no motor or body just frame and controls. im would like to know what the tranny is and if it has reverse it looks like a baby t 20 with a lever in the middle goes up or down or is it just high and low range

Is the lever u shaped? Then its reverse/forward. Amphicat had 4 different transmission setups. If you could post a picture of it we can help.

the lever is u shaped and hooks back to the tranny

ok, my amphicat didnt have that plunger style tranny but from what I am told you hold it down with your heel and its in reverse.

Sounds like a 0079 model with the Borg Warner transmission.
