Terra tigers are a fairly heavy, low power machine. The steering clutches (cone clutches) are the real weak part of the machine. They can, however, be alot of fun to drive. Just treat it as a trail machine and leave the bad mud holes alone, and you should be fine.

I know it does need new steering clutches, and id like to get rid of the 10hp techumsa, and put a 15hp honda in it, also need to find a floor pan... but it does run (straight wont turn due to the clutches needing replace) and has the modern 5 lug wheels and 6 brand new tires... I traded a non running snapper rear engine riding mower for it, the way it sits... so i dont think i got hurt in the deal...LOL

I would say you did well. You could always swap out your tranny for a t-20. It gives reverse and then you can run through the mud holes. If the tranny needs work anyway, might as well upgrade. BTW nice tires on it too.
l like to buy stuff and no I don't do payments!

You probably DON'T need the clutches, just adustments. When the clutches go bad they slip, meaning the machine barely moves fwd. Another mod that is a real good idea is adding shims to the springs pushing on those clutches. More pressure= more friction=better performance. The drawback is too much pressure just pushes out on the fiberglass tub, and gives no extra benefit.
Here is a template for new friction material if you really do need it.friction_material_template_for_tt.jpg

The honda clone motors ($300 on ebay) are great motors and other members here have used them (including me), but it may not be the best choice for the TT. They are very long due to the cyl being tilted back. A verticle piston motor would mean you could still carry a passenger.

As for your floorboard, they are out there, but shipping would be the issue. Try making one out of plywood.
