Steering clutch adjustments seem to be too frequent to me anyway. Set it up and go out for a few hours and they are leaning towards needing to be set up again. Maybe i am doing it wrong the way when Im setting them up and that is why they arent lasting. Also both levers have to be pushed forward quite hard and constant to get forward travel. Just wondering if it should be such a effort. Should there be springs on the clutches to keep it driving all the time and when u want to stop just pull them back? Thanks for your insight and help

No springs. With mine I remember I had a hard time trying to keep the "pressure bearing pack"? from sliding back on the shaft (and therefore making it quite useless in compressing the clutch pack when you push the steering levers forward). If the bearing is held in place, than it is possible that your clutches are contaminated or warn. If you take that clutch pack apart, check the pressure plates for wear on the slider slots as that will cause jarring. To stop the bearing from sliding back on the shaft I believe I made a sleeve to go on the shaft so it couldn't move anywhere.

As for the amount of force on your arms to keep the thing going forward, you could also try moving the leverage point on the pressure bearing pack arm outwards some.
