My thoughts on the sierra trail boss

Have a superchief Attex and a Trail Boss my observations are.

1 The Trail Boss has a much stronger frame
2 they used a HDPE body when most still had ABS or Fiberglass
3 you have a huge amount of room to upgrade the engine
4 large axles when most had small
5 it is a very well built machine

Things I don't like

1 the transmission set up makes it hard to up grade to a T20 with any kind of strength
your shafts would have to extend out to far
2 The ride height is not that great maybe with wheel extensions you could make it better The lower tub is not flat so to make a springer you would have to build it one wheel at a time instead of one long steel plate. I'm going to try 20s on it

i have a trail boss and it is going together pretty well for a 30 plus yr old piece of plastic-i like it so far. i hope to get mine as clean as yours

I got lucky pretty clean $200 machine I have not done anything to it yet ather than get the engine running
