Hey guys. I've just come across a IMP 6x6. From what i can tell Looking at it, it is one of the first ones that they made. It is the white and green and has a steering wheel, a kohler motor which I didn't look close enough to see if it was the 2 cycle or 4. I did see at least one spot on the tub where the tire had rubbed threw it. Also it looked like it had the clutch setup and not the transmission. I've tried to find some information on it but haven't had much success other than what you have on this site. This thing needs lots of work but is it something that could be fixed up with a little money andI time. Im just afraid of not being able to get any Parts to fix it. Also I forgot It has been sitting in a barn for a long time and was told motor is bad. I can get this thing for 200 and I like fixing things but would this be worth putting money into?

    Thanks

You are looking at a kadoo. Imp made two versions and you are correct about it being the first. several members on the site have them including kadookid who claims to have been buying them up to prevent people from thinking they can make a good trail machine out of it. I think the first version is more of a beach cruiser as imp was a boat company. all the mechanics seem to be done in a boat fashion. instead of a hitch, they had tie downs for docking. I love the look of them and they are somewhat rare but not really sought after. The body is fiberglass so the patch work will be easy. for $200 I would buy it. I think they are cool and if you want it to be more durable, you could build a frame and throw in a t20 like the kadoo II and many many other 6x6s have.
l like to buy stuff and no I don't do payments!

You are correct drew, the hunt continues. in reality an individual can purchase a running max ll way cheaper than all the parts and materials it would take to make the thing usable. I have a number of kadoos and parts but just bought a max ll, because it was cheaper and by far a better built machine.
