Having members post their location is nice but it needs to remain optional. While some members are looking for others to ride with, many members want to stay anonymous. Forcing them to post their location would only turn them off from the site or cause them to just make up a fictitious location.
The best thing you can do (this is a general statement not directed towards you Mike d) is start a thread in the "Local 6x6 World Members" section of the site for your area and bump it to the top every couple of months. Once you get a couple of members semi-close to you, start organizing a ride every 6 months or so. Post the ride in the Trail Ride forum a couple of months in advance. After a few rides, you will be surprised how fast your local group can grow.
Also to all you New Members, like Mike d said, put your location in your profile so others close to you can find where you are. If you look in the right hand corner of this post, you will see my location. That is where yours will show up too.
