Where are all the MEMBERS?

Again, I log in and do a couple posts and then check to see who might be online. Over 2800 currently viewing, but all but 1 are guests.

Where have all the members gone? Previously there were 9 active members, and now only 8.

Come on. New machines are still being sold. Used ones are being sold as well. So, there are active users out there.

And I recently read that a MAX II was featured on a new episode of "The Price is Right".

AND...previous complaints about spammers no longer apply, as the moderator has done a commendable job with his site upgrades and improved moderation, keeping scammer/spammers out.

So where are you guy hiding?

I check the three 6x6 sites regularly and they all have little to no activity. One is not working right now. I think almost everyone has migrated over to the 6x6 pages on Facebook.

I don't do FB, dinosaur that I am, but I was at the SIL the other day, and he does FB, so I had him search for the FB version of a 'forum' for another item of interest that I watch/enjoy and I am a member of its dedicated forum. The FB version of that forum truly sucks. People do not interact/discuss like they do on this and my other dedicated forum page. What is the big attraction to FB? The other forum that I follow had a major crash about 8-9 months ago. The forum administrator tried to remedy, and in the process, found the only option was to 'upgrade' the forum version, and that was a total disaster. All the forum history/posts were lost, with no way to recover. Long story short, the admin searched and found another forum program, installed that, and rebuilt the forum as best he could. Since then there has been a slow recovery as old members found and migrated to the new forum, joined, and began posting. It's coming back, ever so slowly, but even with very few members, it is still more active than this site with its supposed 18000+ member base. What is crazier still is that when I check, normally there are upwards of 1200=2200 guests on line on thi forum when I am online and browsing. So, if there is that much guest activity, where are the members? FB? Really?

I get what you mean about the FB thing, I don't use it either. As far as the 1200 - 2200 guests on when you are on here, most if not all of them are bots and not real people. If the other members of these pages are not on the 6x6 sites or FB then they have probably moved on to other interests or just stopped all together. As Johnboy said before, even the Busco outing has faded to nothing. I know the Pine Lake outing is still going but I'm not sure how strong as I haven't been able to attend in a couple of years.
